Echolocation in Robotics
Each group needs:
- LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robot, such as EV3 Core Set (5003400) at https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-mindstorms-education-ev3-core-set/5003400#lego-mindstorms-education-ev3 (Note: If not enough robots are available for one per group, share the robots you have among several groups, or use one robot for the class, sharing data with everyone.)
- 2 "objects" found in the classroom, for the robot to sense at the 100 and 200 cm locations (perhaps bottles or boxes)
- stopwatch
- Pre-Activity Echolocation Worksheet, one per student
- Echolocation Activity Datasheet, one per student
- Post-Activity Echolocation Worksheet , one per student

- ruler, marked in cm and inches
- masking tape, to mark off the robot course
