Each group needs:

- 1 turkey leg, from grocery stores; remove meat and boil

- a variety of bone-building materials such as clay, pipe cleaners, straws, cardboard, coffee stirrers and tape
- 500-ml graduated cylinder
- water, sink and drain
- 1-2 sheets of graph paper
