Each group needs:

• 1 compact disc (CD); ask students to bring used CDs from home or purchase blank CDs, available online
• 1 plastic bottle with a cap, ~16 oz. size, such as a soda bottle
• 1 balloon
• hacksaw, to cut the top off the plastic bottle
• drill, to put holes in the bottle cap
• hot-glue gun, to be shared among groups
